Court Introduces New Small Claims Digital Evidence Portal

Evidence for Small Claims Cases Can Now Be Uploaded
Defendants and Plaintiffs Can Use Mobile Devices, Laptops or Desktops to Upload Evidence

Oakland, Calif. – February 11, 2025 – The Superior Court of Alameda County introduced a new way for small claims court litigants to quickly and conveniently submit evidence for their trials using an online digital portal.

All evidence for a trial from videos to documents can be uploaded via the Court’s portal at https://www.alameda.courts.ca.gov/online-services/digital-evidence-portal.

Litigants must create an account before uploading evidence and you must know your case number. Evidence can be uploaded at any time up until 3 p.m. the day before a trial date.

Any documents must be in pdf format.

This portal is for use in small claims court only. Those cases are heard in Dept. 519 at the Hayward Hall of Justice and Dept. 105 at the Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse. The portal is optional, but the Court encourages all with cases in small claims court to utilize this new portal to ensure your evidence is submitted in a timely manner.

All the files will be encrypted, securely stored, and users can access their evidence online at any time from multiple devices including computers and cell phones.
